About Jurid® 847
Jurid® 847 is a composite brake block material with an LL friction level. Cast iron brake blocks in S-braked freight wagons can be replaced with Jurid® 847 without adjustment of the brake system. The material exhibits stable friction performance and thermal stability, low sensitivity to wet conditions, and is expected to have low block and wheel wear.
The effect of Jurid® 847 on the wheels also helps significantly reduce noise levels. Jurid® 847 meets the SNCF-shuntage test requirements.
